The Trail was proud to host the first parkrun on Saturday 3rd November. Almost 50 runners and walkers took part, with folk driving over the Remutaka to participate. Mayoress Viv Napier kindly addressed the participants before getting them under way. This weekly event starts at 8am every Saturday morning, and the organisers anticipate a gradual increase in the number taking part.
